Pack opening questions

What is in a booster?

One opening contains 14 cards: seven commons, three uncommons, one foil slot, two rare-or-better slots and one rune/token slot. Open another booster after revealing all cards.

What is the chance of an Epic?

Approximately 25% per booster with complete treatment pools. The simulator uses 12.961% in each rare slot and 1% in the foil slot. Ultimate upgrades can replace a rare-slot result.

What is the chance of a showcase or alternate art?

8.16% for at least one alternate-art hit across the two rare slots, before Ultimate replacement. This includes supported showcase and Crystal Rose alternate art; special runes are separate.

What is the chance of an overnumbered card?

1.384% per booster for at least one overnumber, including signatures, before Ultimate replacement. Cards must exist in the selected catalog.

What is the chance of an artist signature?

0.139% per booster, approximately one in 720 openings. A signature replaces 10% of overnumber hits. Independent rolls never guarantee a hit after a particular number of packs.

What is the chance of Ultimate Baron?

0.05% in Unleashed, with at most one per booster. This is a simulator assumption; the published rate is only known to be below 0.1%. Other sets cannot roll this card.

How does the foil slot work?

Every booster has a foil slot: 70% Common, 25% Uncommon, 4% Rare and 1% Epic in this simulator. These weights are estimates, not disclosed factory collation. The rare-or-better slots are also foil.

Can I pull a special rune?

4.167% for an alternate rune when available. Of the remaining rune slots, 10% become foil. Without alternate-rune artwork the simulator uses a basic rune. These rates are assumptions.

Can I pull a specific card?

Cards are chosen uniformly within the eligible pool for their slot and treatment. A specific card's chance depends on how many matching cards the selected set has; special treatments and base versions have different odds.

Are these exact real-world pull rates?

No. Origins uses Riot's approximate published averages as a baseline. Later sets reuse that baseline where exact odds are unpublished. This simulator models independent rolls rather than factory box collation; unavailable treatments cannot be pulled.

How is my booster value calculated?

The summary adds available USD market quotes for each card and finish, including duplicate copies. Unpriced cards are excluded and quote coverage is shown. Market estimates are not guaranteed sale prices.

Why does a normal card sometimes glow?

Rare and Epic cards have reveal effects too. High-value cards can receive stronger effects when a market quote is available. Artist signatures have a dedicated multicolor celebration.

Will new sets be added?

Complete numbered booster sets become available automatically from our card catalog. Incomplete sets and fixed starter products stay hidden.

Are openings saved or real purchases?

No. This is a free simulator. It creates no purchase, collection entry or saved opening, and refreshing starts over.
